Bad news. I won't be posting anything this week, and probably not next week either. I've been busy with a ton of work for finals, and while this project is important to me, I should probably focus more on my schoolwork right now. That isn''t to say I won't be making progress, it just might be slower and less consistent. Looking forward to the summer, I'll have tons of time, and hopefully then I can start working on the actual thing. I'll just have to wait and see.

I did more work on the tracks today. I'm planning for them to be modular, in order to make them easier to move. The diagram below shows how they connect. Next week I think I'll experiment with curved pieces of track, and see how that goes. I think I'm really starting to get the hang of Blender (the new 3D modeling software I'm using).

This week, I modeled the final part of the rollercoaster, the chair. I also modeled the rails about halfway. I'll model the second half of the rails (the supports), next week. I'm also hoping to model some different sections of rail as well. I'm working on figuring out a way to work on the actual thing this summer. I'm a little worried that it'll be rusty—but we'll just have to see. Also, found out how to render things in Blender, which you can see below.
