Building A Rollercoaster

Back from break with a LOT of photos! I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain, and I did some "research". I actually got some valuable information about what makes a ride comfortable, or more accurately, uncomfortable (I'm looking at you, X2 and Viper ). The main points are something to hold on to in front of you, tight restraints, and slower, more gradual turns; or else banked turns. Quick update: finished spray painting.

Happy Valentine's Day! Yesterday afternoon I finished welding, and ground down the welds. All I need to do to finish the frame is to spray paint it, so it doesn't oxidize too much over the break. See you all in a week!

I welded the frame today and cut some corners (literally) for the frame of the rollercoaster car in order to strengthen it. I should be done with the car by sometime next week.

Started work on the car frame today! I had to do a bit of a redesign, but otherwise everything should be identical to the 3D model. Also, the metal rods I cut rusted in storage, so I'm going to have to grind them down again.
